Dublin City University’s School of Applied Language and Intercultural Studies (SALIS) is offering PhD scholarships commencing on September 1, 2025. Successful applicants will receive a stipend of €25,000 per annum for up to four years, subject to satisfactory annual progression. Registration fees will also be covered. These scholarships aim to support high-caliber doctoral research in a variety of disciplines within Applied Linguistics, Translation Studies, Cultural Studies, and more.

To be eligible for the Ireland SALIS PhD Scholarship 2025, Applicant must the following requirements;
- Minimum 2:1 (or equivalent) in a relevant undergraduate degree; a master’s degree is highly desirable.
- Must develop a research proposal aligned with SALIS research strengths and obtain supervisor endorsement before applying.
- Two academic reference letters from past lecturers or supervisors.
- English Language Proficiency (for non-native speakers, proof via IELTS/TOEFL may be required).
