Funding Package For The Fellowship 2025
Each Dorothy Killam Fellowship offers a generous award of $80,000 CAD per year for two (02) years, for a total of $160,000 CAD. These are research release-time fellowships, designed to free recipients from teaching and administrative duties, enabling them to dedicate themselves fully to their research initiatives. The fellowship supports research across a wide range of disciplines, including:
- Humanities.
- Natural Sciences.
- Social Sciences.
- Engineering.
- Health Sciences.
- Other interdisciplinary studies linking any of the above
The award is granted to individuals, but funding is administered by the Canadian research institution where the fellow is employed.

Eligibility Criteria for The Fellowship 2025
The Dorothy Killam Fellowships are designed for early- to mid-career researchers who:
- Have typically completed their PhD within the last 15 years.
- Are currently employed at a Canadian university or research institute.
- Must demonstrate qualities like inclusive collaboration, barrier-breaking innovation, and research leadership.

Each year, between 5 and 8 fellowships are awarded based on the quality of applications and selection committee approval.
