
Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships for 2026 applications are now open. This scholarship offer a unique opportunity to study a two-year Master’s degree in a low or middle-income Commonwealth country.

Eligibility Requirements for the Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships
To be eligible for the Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships, Applicant must the following requirement;
- For citizens (or those who hold refugee status) in a Commonwealth country.
- There is no upper age limit to be eligible for a QECS Award.
- You must have attained a minimum of 2:1 (or equivalent) at undergraduate level.
Benefits of the Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships
Eligible applicants of the the Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships would enjoy the following benefits, which are;
- Fully-funded tuition fees.
- Living allowance (stipend) for duration of award.
- Return economy flights to host country.

- Research Support Grant (on request only; subject to approval)
Required Documents for the Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships
To apply for the the Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships, Eligible applicants would be required to;
- Provide official academic transcripts and degree certificates from your previous studies. If these documents are not in English, you must include certified translations.
- Submit two reference letters, ideally one academic and one professional. If an academic reference isn’t available, two professional references are acceptable. References should be addressed to “Dear Sir or Madam” and uploaded in PDF, JPG, or PNG format.
- Proof of Identity, a valid passport is preferred. However, if you don’t have one at the time of application, you may submit a national ID or an expired passport. Note that if selected, you’ll need a valid passport for the duration of your stay in the host country.
- Include a current Curriculum Vitae detailing their academic background, work experience, and any relevant achievements.
- If English isn’t their first language, applicant may need to provide evidence of English proficiency, such as IELTS scores or a certificate of medium of instruction, depending on the host university’s requirements.
- Prepare three statements as part of your application which are Plan of Study, Development Impact and Post-Study Outreach and Creating Networks.
How to apply for the Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships
To apply for the Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships, Applicants must following the steps below;
- Look through the list of countries and universities hosting scholarships in this cycle. Please note that only the courses listed are eligible for scholarship funding.
- Visit the relevant university website for more information on your chosen course using the links included below.
- Complete and submit a QECS application for your chosen university/course by clicking the ‘Apply now’ button. Once you’ve clicked apply, you’ll be directed to a log in page. If you don’t already have a myACU account, click get ‘get started’ in the right hand corner of the page to start your application.
- Submit an application to your chosen university for admission to your chosen course.
