2027 UNIVERSITY OF EDINBURGH MASTERCARD ONCAMPUS SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS :
Applicants must qualify for a University of Edinburgh degree and hold the equivalent of a UK Second Class (Upper) Bachelor’s (Hons) degree or higher. Postgraduate entry requirements for your country : Postgraduate entry requirements
Applicants must :
- Face social, financial, personal, practical or health-related barriers to education and early career.
- Have graduated from undergraduate study and hold a degree certificate and official final transcript to upload by 19 November 2026.
- Be citizens/residents or hold refugee status in a Sub-Saharan African country.
- Demonstrate leadership, community service and experience or ambition to address the climate crisis.
- Be 35 or under on 1 September 2027.
- Not have completed a postgraduate degree or be enrolled/applying at another university while receiving the Mastercard Foundation Scholarship.
- Female, refugee/displaced, and disabled scholars are encouraged to apply.
2027 UNIVERSITY OF EDINBURGH MASTERCARD SCHOLARSHIP DURATION AND REWARD
The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program covers :
- Full tuition, accommodation, travel, living cost stipend and study materials.
- A climate leadership programme supporting community and country change.
- Additional support for scholars with disabilities, based on needs.
HOW TO APPLY FOR 2027 UNIVERSITY OF EDINBURGH MASTERCARD SCHOLARSHIP
To apply for the University of Edinburgh Scholarship, Interested and qualified candidates should ;

- Attend the mandatory information session between 15-24 September 2026 on eligibility and applications.
- Eligible attendees will be notified if invited and must complete the Applicant Declaration Form by 19 October.
- Complete the Postgraduate Assessment and Scholarship
- Main Application form by 19 November 2026.
- All applicants will receive their final programme admission decision by early February.
