The TWAS and SN scholarships offer opportunities to young foreign scientists from developing countries who are interested in pursuing a Ph.D. in physical sciences. The scholarship encourages applicants to apply for the preliminary acceptance offer as soon as possible before the opening date.
DETAILS
- TWAS – SN Bose Postgraduate Scholarships is only for studies leading towards a 4-year Ph.D. DEGREE in physical sciences at SN Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences in Kolkata, India.
- Applicants can either register for a sandwich program in their home country or enroll in a Ph.D. course at S.N Bose National Centre for a full-time option.
- Admission into the Ph.D. program will include a monthly stipend to cover living costs and food and on-campus housing.
- The benefits also cover partial medical insurance.
- The language of instruction is English.
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for the TWAS – SN Bose scholarships, please meet the following requirements:
- Maximum age must be 35 years at the time of application.
- Applicants must be nationals of a developing country other than India.
- Applicants must not hold any visa (temporary or permanent) in India or any developed country.
- Applicants must provide proficiency in the English language at the time of application.
- Applicants must provide evidence of a return to their home country upon completion of studies.
