Ph.D. Student in Computing Science with a Focus on Computer Security
Application to this position should have interest in at least one of the following areas: Software Engineering, Computer security, a very good knowledge of programming (such as in C, Java, or Python), and an in-depth understanding of computer systems (assembly code, compilers). Nontechnical skills required include teamwork, good communication skills, discipline, and creativity.
In return for your 20% teaching work at the University, you’ll get to study a 4-year course in computer science at the University of Umeå, with a monthly salary, although the overall calculated time to be spent would be 5 years in total.

A first and second (masters) degree in computer science.

Ph.D. Position on Designing Preventative Physiotherapy with AI
As part of a WASP-HS networking excellence project, this position is seeking candidates who are interested in the design and exploration of AI for fall prevention among elderly people. Preventative physiotherapy training is increasingly an important part of aging well. Falls presents the most common cause of injury in old age, and there is strong evidence that the number of falls and injuries can be greatly decreased through regular strength and balance exercises. Eligibility
The applicant must have a University education in Informatics (or equivalent) of at least 90 credits, and 60 credits on an advanced level in informatics (master’s level) or other education of equivalent specialization.
