EU-ECOWAS Scholarships Programme for Sustainable Energy 2023
This joint Program is offered by the European Union and ECOWAS and is directed at selected candidates from Universities across West Africa to be a beneficiary of a fully funded master of science in the energy sector.
Value:
- The scholarship will take care of scholars’ tuition, Travel, Insurance, Visa, and research grant.
- A small stipend to contribute towards travel and subsistence will also be provided.
Eligibility:
- Interested applicants to the scholarship must be citizens of ECOWAS member states or Mauritania.
- Must have undertaken undergraduate studies in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, energy and environment (including renewable energy and energy efficiency), law, economics, finance and planning as deemed by the entry requirements of the chosen university.
- Must have applied to one of the selected Universities and offered Admission.
- Must be committed to publishing practice oriented research before the end of the programme.

- M.Sc. in Energy and Environment
- M.Sc. LL.M Energy Law
- M.Sc. Renewable Energy
- Ecole Polytechnique de Thiès, Senegal with the course:
- M.Sc. Inter-Universities Master in Renewable Energies (Master interuniversitaire en énergies renouvelables)
- Université Cheikh Anta Diop de Dakar, Senegal with the course:
- M.Sc. 2 Photovoltaic Systems and Materials (Master 2 de physique et applications, spécialité énergie solaire, matériaux et systèmes)
- Universidade de Cabo Verde, Cape Verde with the course:
- International Interuniversity Master’s program in Energy Decarbonization
