International Doctoral Student Award (IDSA) at the University of Waterloo
Eligibility:
- International graduate students, registered full-time in a doctoral program at the University of Waterloo with a Study Permit.
- Students must meet the academic progress requirements of their program.
- Students must not be concurrently receiving tuition awards (e.g. PSI or Lazaridis Tuition Awards) or funding which exceeds the minimum PhD funding value from any external awards, sponsorships or self-funding.
Scholarship Value:
$15,420 each year $5,140* per term) to the end of the third year of the doctoral program.

UdeM Exemption Scholarship for International Students at the University De Montreal
Eligibility:
- International students admitted as of Fall 2020.
- Who hold a study permit and who are neither permanent residents nor Canadian citizens.
- Who will be enrolled full-time in a study program throughout their studies.
- Who will not benefit from another form of tuition fee exemption through another policy or measure. For example, French and Belgian Francophone students already benefit from this type of exemption.
Scholarship value:
- Bachelor:
Level A: $12,465.60 per year (2 sessions, equivalent to 30 credits) or $6,232.80 per session (15 credits) or $415.52 per credit
Level B: $5,940.90 per year (2 sessions, equivalent to 30 credits) or $2,970.45 per session (15 credits) or $198.03 per credit
Level C: $2,078.10 per year (2 sessions, equivalent to 30 credits) or $1,039.05 per session (15 credits) or $69.27 per credit.
- Masters: $9 787,95 per year (3 sessions, equivalent to 45 credits) or $3 262,65 per session (equivalent to 15 credits)
- PhD: $21,038.13 per year (3 sessions, equivalent to 45 credits) or $7,012.71 per session (equivalent to 15 credits) for the entire duration of your studies.

The University of Winnipeg Graduate Studies Scholarship (UWGSS)
Scholarship value:
The University of Winnipeg Graduate Student Scholarship (UWGSS) is valued at $15,000 for a period of 12 months.
Eligibility:
To qualify to apply to this program, the candidate must:
- Have achieved a minimum GPA of 3.75 in the last 60 credits hours of study.
- Be entering the first or second year of an eligible master’s program as of May or September of the current year or January of the upcoming year.
- Be enrolled in a full-time master’s program.
