The monthly gross salary will range from approximately from €2.500 to €3.200 depending on their qualifications and experience. The employment contract will include a probationary period of six months. Successful candidates are expected to work full-time.
The doctoral researcher will carry out an individual research project and will be affiliated with the Centre for Consumer Society Research. The duties also include teaching and other tasks. Teaching tasks can account for up to 5 % of the annual working time.

Eligibility Criteria for the Doctoral Researcher Position at the University of Helsinki

This opportunity is open to motivated candidates who meet the following requirements:
- Hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., sociology, economics, public administration, political science, history).
- Have a strong research plan that aligns with the Centre for Consumer Society Research.
- Demonstrate fluency in English.
- Show proven ability and motivation for doctoral studies through academic achievements or work experience.
- Committed to full-time research work with up to 5% of teaching responsibilities.
- Must apply for and obtain the right to a doctoral degree at the University of Helsinki within six months of employment.
- Must reside in Finland during the research period (relocation assistance provided by the Faculty of Social Sciences).
